Fay Talbot
CANINE MYOTHERAPIST

I am a Galen Myotherapist, Canine Rehabilitation Therapist and Canine Conditioning Coach running a clinic in Dorking, Surrey, as well as a clinic in Bolney, Sussex . I am passionate about the rehabilitation of dogs, supporting acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain associated with arthritis, surgery, hip and elbow dysplasia, as well as keeping your working or competitive dogs at their peak fitness.

Dogs tend to hide their pain, often suffering in silence! Look for subtle changes in your dog’s mobility and behavioural patterns. When your dog is excited, adrenalin can temporarily mask whatever pain they have, so it is important to look for changes in mobility and behaviour when your dog is relaxed too. I've included lots of information around how I can help your dog, and feel free to contact me for an appointment or an informal chat about your dog’s issues.

Galen Myotherapy is a unique and highly specialised manual therapy and exercise management.

It uses appropriate, effective and targeted specialised massage techniques and exercise management to manage the chronic muscular pain and inflammation that is caused from many different conditions that are so common in a dog’s life.

Canine conditioning offers a variety of benefits that contribute to a dog’s overall health, physical fitness, and quality of life.

Healthy pet dogs of any age can benefit from having a strong core and completing the foundation level. Whether the dog is a family pet, working dog, or athlete, a well-structured conditioning program can help in numerous way.

My love of animals started at a very early age, when I became fascinated with horses and started to ride at the age of five.

When I left school, I chose to go and work with horses, and opened up my own equestrian supply business. Dogs too have always been part of my life too of course, and I have always been very drawn to the rehabilitation of animals.
JUSTINE SAYS:
"Fay treated our beautiful Dalmatian DJ for muscle pain recently. He was slightly nervous in the beginning, but she was so kind and reassuring to him that he was all hers in no time. He understood that she was helping him, and became lovingly patient and obedient for her. She was gentle, kind and quiet with him and did a little more for him with each visit – there were three in total – and by the last, he knew exactly what she was doing and even offered her the place that was hurting. He loved the treatment and has benefited completely from it. He’s back to his old self again and we’re extremely grateful to Fay for her skill, experience and compassion with DJ."
